Matalj Bukovski Cuvee

  • Prokupac/Zacinak
  • Serbia Negotin

The wine is soft, moderately full, fresh and fruity in the sky. Tannins are stable and very well polished and in excellent balance with lively acids. The finish is fruity, with a mild tint of chocolate and moderately long. Aged for 12 months in Serbian Oak casks. Try with duck served with a berry sauce, tomato based pasta dishes or mild cheeses.

The Mladenović-Matalj family has been engaged in the production of top quality grapes and wine for several decades, and since 2007, the project to restore old vineyards and expand the capacity of the cellars began. Their philosophy in wine production boils down to simply preserving the characteristics of the grapes in the wine we get from our vineyards.

Negotin’s district is located in the flatlands surrounded by the Miroč, Crni Vrh and Deli Jovan mountains on one and Dunav and Timok rivers on the other side. On the sandy soils of this area are grown the most beautiful sorts of red grapes out of which are made fragrant red wines.
