It all started with a parcel of vines. When Louis Henri Denis Jadot purchased the Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules in 1826 the story of Maison Louis Jadot began. The Les Boudots vineyards is bordering the Premier Cru vineyards of Vosne Romanée, at the northern edge of the Nuits Saint-Georges appellation. It is located next to Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts.
Grapes are harvested by hand and put in small cases in order not to damage the fruits. Grapes are pressed softly and fermented in oak barrels. 1/3 are new barrels. Aging usually lasts 15 months on fine lies before bottling.
This wine shows the classic concentration of Nuits Saint Georges with an enticing perfume, rich colour and mouth-filling fruit together with a savoury finish.
