A limited production wine made from rare 100 year old Tempranillo vines in a single vineyard at 600 metres high in the Rioja Alta region. 18 months in French oak barrels produces a wine that is ruby red with garnet reflections, soft and smooth on the palate with a fresh acidity. Supple tannins support the core of ripe blackberries and cherries combined with notes of cinnamon, vanilla, balsamic, coffee and chocolate. A wine with fantastic complexity, very long and elegant.
Ideal with roasts, especially game such as pheasant or pigeon, as well as cheese.
