Jeremy and Emma Borg founded Painted Wolf to create wines from a small number of growers in some of South Africa’s prime sites, including Paarl, Swartland and Stellenbosch – from low-yielding areas which are mostly unirrigated and farmed organically or with minimal organic outputs – and to support conservation of the endangered African wild dog.

Bright ruby red. Nose is compact with brooding red fruit and spicy wood. The palate is round and supple with red fruit flavour accented by spicy wood. It is a deeply satisfying wine. Pairs with robust dishes influenced by the southern french and spanish kitchen such as ratatouille and braised beef shanks.
