In recent years Rum has become one of the hottest and most exciting spirit categories around. As people began to appreciate how complex and layered older Rums can be, enough to rival top malt Whiskies and old Cognacs in many eyes, some distilleries have shown an ability to consistently produce amazing quality. Foursquare Distillery is certainly one of those.

Based in Barbados and now operated by Richard Seale, the 5th generation to be involved in Rum Distilling on the Island, Foursquare has developed a reputation for quality and collectibility and its ‘Exceptional Cask Selection’ offers a range of different rums from different barrel finishes. All personally selected by Richard Seale and all one off limited releases.

We are delighted to offer a small parcel of Foursquare for sale on a first come first served basis. Just 3 bottles of each are available. Each limited to just one bottle per customer.

Foursquare Shibboleth (Mark XVI – The 16th Release in the series)
A 16 year old blend of pot and column still Rum aged in ex Bourbon Casks. Bottled at 56% ABV, without chill-filtration, all natural colour. Released in March 2021, now barely available in the UK.

Foursquare Cask Strength 2009 60% (Mark XVII – 17th release)
A 12 year old blend of Pot and Column still Rum aged in ex-Bourbon American white oak casks. Bottled at 60% ABV, without chill-filtration, all natural colour. An incredibly rare release from April 2021 now all but sold out.

Foursquare Indelible (Mark XVIII – 18th Release)
An 11 year old blend of Pot and Column still Rum aged in a combination of ex-Bourbon casks and ex-Zinfandel Wine casks.  Bottled at 48% ABV, without chill-filtration, all natural colour. A rare release from September 2021. The previous 11yo Zinfandel Cask finish (Mark IV) now retails for £450 online.

Foursquare Sovereignty (Mark XIX – 19th Release)
A 14 year old blend of pot and column still Rum aged for 3 years in ex Bourbon cask and then 11 futher years in Sherry cask. This was then blended with a 14yo rum from Bourbon casks. Bottled at 62% ABV, without chill-filtration, all natural colour. Released in November 2021. One of the most collectible in the series.

Foursquare Isonomy (Mark XX – 20th release) – A 17 year old blend of pot and column still rum aged for 17 years in ex Bourbon Oak casks. Bottled at 58% ABV, without chill-filtration, all natural colour. Released January 2022. The oldest release to date and a sure fire legendary rum for the future.
