The sixth edition of The Lakes distillery’s award-winning Whiskymaker’s Reserve has big shoes to fill after the success of the previous batches, the fourth of which was crowned World’s Best Single Malt Whisky at the World Whisky Awards in 2022.

Matured in a combination of oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximenez sherry and red wine casks, made with Spanish and American oak. Aromas of oriental spice, marzipan with rose water, candied ginger and polished oak fill the nose, complemented by notes of sun-dried Ajwa dates, toasted teacake, and hints of gentle spice throughout the palate.

Enjoy as you please. Try adding a few drops of water to open up the flavours.

The Lakes Whiskymaker’s Reserve No.1 – £1,400.00
The first limited edition bottle of The Lakes Whisky Maker’s Reserve No.1 English Single Malt Whisky. Bottled in 2019 at 60.6% this bottle will make a fine addition to any whisky lovers collection. This is one of only 5922 bottles ever produced, which makes this edition even more desirable!

The Lakes Whiskymaker’s Reserve No.2 – £600.00
An intense and robust single malt whisky, bottled at cask strength – 60.9% ABV. The nose is rich and complex with dry fruits and treacle, creamy layers of wood spice and comforting vanilla. Only 4,788 bottles of the Lakes Whiskymaker’s Reserve No.2 were released.

The Lakes Whiskymaker’s Reserve No.4 – £400.00
Awarded the “World’s Best Single Malt Whisky” in 2022. A supremely balanced and complex single malt whisky, matured in the finest, meticulously sourced Oloroso, PX and red wine casks, and bottled at 52% ABV. The nose is rich with Manuka honey, sun-dried dates and roasted cashew nuts; layers of dried fruits, nuts and spice on the palate.

The Lakes Whiskymaker’s Reserve No.5 – £120.00
Whiskymaker’s Reserve No.5 is much the same as the previous iteration. Staying true to the distillery’s commitment to sherry cask maturation, Whiskymaker’s Reserve No.5 has been bottled at 52% after maturation in Pedro Ximenez, Oloroso and red wine casks of Spanish and American oak.
