The Whalley Wine Bar Assistant Manager Vacancy – 40 hours per week

We have an exciting job vacancy for a Full Time Assistant Manager to join our team at The Whalley Wine Bar. This is a great opportunity to join the business at the start, the most exciting time! Striving to be THE place to go if you care about drinking great wine in a fabulous setting. The Whalley Wine Bar will open its doors THIS SUMMER. With the same ethos as The Whalley Wine Shop, the bar will continue to be a family run business, fiercely independent, forward thinking with a hardworking and passionate team.

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Manager to report to the Manager and take responsibility when the manager isn’t on duty. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for wine and strong on customer service.

To create the best wine bar in the Ribble Valley, in Lancashire and in the whole of the North West.
To create a friendly, welcoming and stylish space.

To bring together a team of passionate, well trained wine lovers offering industry leading customer service.

The ideal candidate…

You’ll have a wine bar or restaurant background with some training on wine service and wine qualifications – Ideally you will have WSET Level 3 or Sommelier equivalent, though Level 2 will be considered.
At least 2 years Hospitality Experience in a wine bar or good quality, high standard restaurant.
Professional hospitality training and experience.
A desire to get involved in this exciting project from the start
