KWV Roodeberg Red Blend

39% Shiraz, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Tannat, 9% Durif, 17% Petit Verdot, 3% Pinotage

This famous red blend shows aromatic layers of fresh red fruit, raspberry, mulberries, cassis and dark fruit with an undertone of spices and dark chocolate. The palate is well balanced and soft with nuances of cedary oak and dark plums, ends off with a velvet tannins structure. The wine underwent 14 months of oak maturation in mostly French oak. Some American oak was utilized for a small percentage of the Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon components.

Enjoy this wine on its own or as an accompaniment to roast, grilled and barbequed red meat and chicken dishes.
