This wine is named “Eve”, one of Benjamin and Ariane de Rothschild’s four daughters. This 100% Merlot breaks with the Bordeaux tradition of barrel ageing: it is matured in amphoras for twelve months, giving a very contemporary, fresh, fruity and crisp profile.
With only 13,000 bottles created, this rare amphora-aged Merlot exudes a creamy nose of blueberry, cassis and violets. The palate is intense and defined with great concentration of fruit. Serve with a dish rich in protein, or cellar for many years to come.
