This case includes:
1. Domaine Fournillon Chablis- Chablis, France, 12.5%, 2016
This wine is an excellent expression of good honest Chablis and at a simply brilliant price. An old school style, completely unoaked and fresh with balanced acidity and mellower slightly nutty notes on the finish. Great with walnuts and goats cheese.
2. Domaine Lebrun Pouilly-Fumé- Pouilly-Fumé, Loire, 13%, 2017
This wine has that typical expression of its flinty clay terroir along with fantastic length and structure. Lovely acidity, citrus and marmalade notes and a long lingering finish. A very classy, stylish wine, with enough weight to match with heavier fish.
3. Follas Novas Albariño- Rías Baixas, Spain, 13%, 2017
Follas Novas is an award winning wine at an award winning price! The region runs along the Atlantic coast providing this 100% Albariño with minerality, saltiness, and crispness. Beautifully aromatic wine with floral, peach and lemon notes with a refreshingly zesty finish.
4. Agneau Rouge Bordeaux- Bordeaux, France, 13%, 2017
A premium selection of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon produce deep, blackberry and plum notes with a touch of oak and nutmeg on the finish. Ready to drink now, supple tannins and nice upfront fruit, an easy drinking introduction to Bordeaux Red.
5. Palacio del Camino Real Reserva- Rioja, Spain, 13.5%, 2014
This blend of Garnacha and Tempranillo is from handpicked grapes that are then aged for 20 months in American oak, 8 months longer than the minimum required for a Reserva. This extra ageing mellows out the dark fruit character and complements it with sweet spice, dark chocolate, hints of truffle and lovely toasty character.
6. Calappiano Chianti Reserva- Chianti, Italy, 13%, 2015
An incredibly historic estate established in the 1500’s, given a new lease of life, and making traditional style Chianti but with a modern twist to them. Primarily from Sangiovese, which brings notes of bright fresh cherries, strawberries and red plum on the palate.
