We just want to give you a quick update on what is happening about re-opening The Whalley Wine Shop…

Although the government has relaxed lock down restrictions to allow more shops to open, we have not yet re-opened. We just want to take a little more time to make sure we get all the procedures and measures in place to enable us to keep our team and our customers safe.

A MASSIVE thanks to all those who have supported us during the Covid-19 lockdown. We have been overwhelmed with the ‘Shop Local’ mentality and the fantastic support for Indie Retailers. Without your support we may not have been able to re-open at all. Thank you so much.

For now, the physical shop at 63 King Street will remain CLOSED, however, you can continue to order from us via:

We are potentially looking to re-open the shop for customers on Thursday 2nd of July. This will be for retail sales only and with limited amounts of people allowed in the shop at one time. You will of course be able to continue shopping with us via the phone, email or website and continuing with free local delivery.

Drinking in the shop

The shop will remain CLOSED for drinking on site for the foreseeable future.

Because of the tight nature of the shop space we would not be able to guarantee social distancing and therefore cannot open the shop for drinking. We would also like to maintain some solidarity with our wonderful local pubs and bars who are unable to open at this time. When they are able to re-open for drinks we might follow suit. For now, despite how much we would love to see everyone, The Whalley Wine Shop remains an experience to enjoy from the comfort of your own home!

We hope you understand and if you would like to order any Wines, Beers, Gins, spirits, mixers or gifts (remember Fathers day is on Sunday!) then the team are on hand to talk to and help you pick the right stuff out. Thanks again for the ongoing support.
